Richard Rogers

Born on December 13, 1966, he was the son of Walter “Bud” and Mary (MacDonald) Rogers formerly of Wolcott. He was a lifelong Wolcott resident who graduated from Wolcott High School in 1985. He was proud to own his own bread delivery route business for the last 15 years and he also worked for Wolcott Sanitation.

Rich was a member of the Wolcott Exchange Club and supported Wolcott Crossroads. He was a great father who actively supported his children in their sports and other activities. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was generous, loving always willing to lend a hand to a friend. He was very sociable and loved going out to dinner. He will be missed dearly by many.

Besides Darlene his wife of 20 years and his parents of Ormond Beach, FL, Rich leaves his four children Katelyn (Jesse) Savage of Chesapeake, VA, Ricky Rogers Jr. of Wolcott, Amanda Jones of Waterbury, Jonathon Rogers of NH, three sisters,

Deborah (Frank) Rogers-Sambrook, Kimberly (Nathan) Nadeau all of Wolcott, Patricia (Ray) Gentile of Berlin, hismother and father-in-law Frederick and Bernice Bergeron, sister in law Nadine (Steve) Drmic all of Beacon Falls, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and his Godson Ryan Duff of Wolcott.

Everyone is asked to meet directly at St. Pius X Church 525 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott for Mass on Tuesday at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Woodtick Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. There will be a shuttle bus from the parking lot at St. Pius X Church to the funeral home on Monday during the calling hours.
