Robert J. Doran

He was born in Bridgeport on July 14, 1940, the son of the late Patrick and Mary (Shannon) Doran. Prior to his retirement 10 years ago, Robert was employed as an electrician with I.B.E.W in Bridgeport. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Maura Doran of Thomaston, Kathleen Doran and Robert J. Doran Jr. and wife Beth all of Southington, 9 grandchildren, Megan, Hannah, Teagan, Molly, James, Michael, Nora, Reilly and Fiona. He also leaves a sister Ann Rogers and husband Ken of Redding, sisters-in-law Anita Doran and Mary Deslauriers, brother-in-law Michael Shea and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Bernard Doran.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
