Roger Bouchard

Born in Frenchville, ME, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Deschaine) Bouchard. Roger was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the US Army medical corps.

After graduating from the UConn School of Pharmacy he worked at Broderick & Curtin in Meriden 1958-1965; owned and operated Highland Pharmacy in Waterbury from 1965-1983 and worked at Central Drug & Surgical in Bristol, 1984-1991. He was pharmacy manager at Rite Aid on S. Main St. Waterbury 1992-2001. Roger was a dedicated pharmacist for over 40 years.

Roger is survived by his 3 daughters, Joan Bouchard of Thomaston, Julie McPhee of Oakville, and Janet Lucas of Pleasant Valley., 3 grandchildren, Danielle McPhee, Sarah and Justin Lucas; 2 brothers Lucien Bouchard of Frenchville, ME and Paul Bouchard of New Hampshire, 6 sisters Claire Martin of Indiana, Bernice Bowtruczyk and Irene McDonald both of Newington, Theresa Roy and Claudette McNeil both of Waterville, ME and Lucille O?Donnell of Scarborough, ME. Also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Rosaire Bouchard, 2 sisters Rollande Bouchard and Lillian Roy.

Roger?s enjoyed fly fishing, reading and watching Uconn Huskies and Boston Red Sox.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St Thomas Church , 99 Bristol St. at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday at 5-8 pm. www.dellavecchia.com
