
Born in Waterbury on December 8, 1926, he was the son of the late Raymond and Eva (LeClerc) Maurice. He served in the US Army-Air Corps during WWII. He was a retired employee of Waterbury Hospital where he worked for 19 years. A Wolcott resident for over 40 years, he was a life member of the Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department, Co. #1. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Armor Dei Council # 135 in Wolcott and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a son Dennis and his wife Mary Maurice, a daughter Dorinda Maurice, a daughter in law Jean Maurice, grandchildren Robert and Michelle Maurice all of Wolcott, four sisters, Agnes LaMadeleine of Cheshire, Flore Cichowski, Rita Boulanger, And Irene D'Amico all of FL. He was pre-deceased by two sons Donald and David Maurice and two brothers Rene and Conrad Maurice.
Funeral will be Tuesday 9:30 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott to St. Pius X Church for mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m.
