So sorry to hear of Ron's passing ....You all are in my prayers ..

Lit a candle in memory of Ronald P. Savage Sr.

When we were young impressionable "ankle-biters" our special cousins made their northern trek from Southington, CT to northern Maine...a tiny town called Fort Kent!  Our families bonded for two weeks, and we always cried to see them go.  They had filled our minds and hearts with the wonders of city life and we held on to those stories until the following year when the family rolled into town again.  They became big news!  All our friends wanted to meet them and listen to the stories, play "kick-the-can" in the dark of night, and hang out in the town's one and only laundromat.  It was the only place open for business after 7:00 PM.  We will miss you, dear Ron and we will feel deeply the loss of your immediate family, especially Don!  We love each and every one of you!  It's sad how growing older often contributes to people growing apart.  Our last visit was 14 years ago.  We will never forget you.

Ron was cherished by many, but personally speaking, he was a father to one of my dearest friends, his sister and brothers and to us kids from the neighborhood. For a long time, I’ve lived away from Ronny Jr. and the family, but those memories of Ron—the laughs in the kitchen—the conversations and guidance before heading out for the night—those things never go away. We remember most the people and experiences that made a positive difference in our lives and I don’t think I’m alone in saying that Ron created many of those wonderful experiences for all those around him. You will be greatly missed.

Dear Ron, i will always remember how much you loved all the kids, and you would tell them how much you loved them by simply saying  I love you! i will also remember how much you loved lobster and dance, may you be free of your sufferings and i hope and pray you are with debbie now.
