
Rosemarie Panella, 76, of Germania Street, Southington, died Friday, December 29, 2006 at The Hospital of Central CT in New Britain after a brief and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on January 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Jerome and Rose (Angelillo) Panella.
Rosemarie was an avid fan of the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers and loved to watch golf on television. She was employed at the Southington Hardware, Gemco Manufacturing and Lake Eyelet. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Thomas Church.
Rosemarie will be missed by her surviving sisters Alice Pelcher and Annamae and husband, Francis Verderame of Southington. She was predeceased by brothers: John, Jerome, Donald and Francis and sisters Theresa and Julia. She leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as her cat, Bingo.
The Panella family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Hoffman, nurses, and staff of the C5 Oncology Unit who cared for Auntie Ree.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will on Tuesday, January 2 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
