Shawn M. Simons

Shawn was born in Meriden on June 3, 1976 and grew up in Plantsville. He graduated from Southington High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Shawn loved life and lived it to the fullest.

He recently moved to Aspen, CO to enjoy the beautiful mountains surrounding his new home.   In Shawn’s own words….  “Best advice for anyone is never be closed minded …. There’s   too much great stuff out there”.

Besides his parents he is survived by a sister Colleen Simons of Farmington, his maternal grandmother Dolores Flynn Rabis along with his loving aunts, uncles many cousins and friends.

Shawn could light up a room by walking into it. He was a sweet, fun-loving lovable guy.  We will miss you with all our hearts, our Shawny Boy.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday December 3 at 9:15 AM from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church 248 Savage St. for a mass at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday ( Today) from 5-8. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Asthma Association, 1233 20th St. N.W., Suite 402, Washington, D.C. 20036.
