

Born in New Britain on March 10, 1932, he was the son of the late Stanley and Stella (Hyjek) Murach Sr.. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands as a communications specialist. He served as a police officer with the New Britain Police Department for over 38 years and a resident of Southington since 1968.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Stanley is survived by his children Ronald Murach of Southington, Lorraine and her husband Nicholas Wozniak of Bethany, Bryan Murach and his wife Laura of North Granby, Len Murach of Manhattan, NY a sister Regina and her husband Jacob Wytas of Stafford Springs, six grandchildren, Eric and his wife Bo Reese, David and his wife Abbe Reese, Justin and his wife Justine Murach, Adam Murach, Christopher Murach and Katelyn Murach, two great grandchildren, Samantha Reese and Zoey Murach, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son James Murach. Stanley?s family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Byrne and Dr. Goldberg in New Britain and Dr. Craig Bogdanski for his special care over the years.
Funeral will be Saturday 9:15 AM from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. to Immaculate Conception Church for Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
