

Susan Loyola Palinkos, age 75, of New Britain, CT, formerly of Norwalk, CT passed away on March 20, 2025, at the Hospital of Central CT. She was born in Providence, RI on April 30, 1949, to the late Stephen J. Palinkos Jr. and Loyola C. (Lyons) Palinkos.
A proud graduate of Central Catholic High School in Norwalk, CT, Sue went on to attend Norwalk Community College, where she laid the foundation for a distinguished career in office administration and bookkeeping. Over the years, she contributed her professionalism and dedication to various organizations, including Hannes Precision Industries, The Grin Room Comedy Club, Burndy Inc., The Senior Network Inc., Quigley Insurance, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Sue was raised Catholic and was a longtime member of St. Jerome's Church in Norwalk before relocating and becoming a parishioner at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Southington. She was deeply committed to her faith and her community.
Sue had a passion for many things, from genealogy to baking, cake decorating, scrapbooking, sewing, gardening, and art. Each of these hobbies allowed her to lovingly connect with her past and create lasting memories. Above all, Sue cherished her family, and her home was a gathering place filled with warmth, food, and laughter. With unwavering thoughtfulness, she marked every birthday and holiday with a card, a simple tradition that made each person on her ever-growing list feel remembered and loved. Whether hosting family get-togethers or simply enjoying the chaos of loved ones, she created moments that will never be forgotten.
In addition to her family life, Sue was an active member of the Silvermine Community Association and The Silvermine Arts Guild in Norwalk, where she supported local events and worked to preserve the community’s rich heritage.
Sue is survived by her brother, Stephen Palinkos III of Florida and Montana; sister-in-law, Mary Palinkos of Southington; as well as five nieces, Jennifer Slader and her husband Shane, Emily, Meghan, Kathryn and Erin Palinkos, three nephews, Jason Macfarland and his wife Kerry, Stephen Macfarland, Jeffrey Macfarland and his wife Megan, as well as eight grand-nieces and nephews, Kaley, Rynil, Lakelyn, Logan, Henry, Owen, Jack and Auggie. She was preceded in death by her sister Leah (Palinkos) Macfarland and her brother Michael J. Palinkos.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 26th 2025 at 11 AM directly at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 145 Main St. Southington. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Sue's memory be made to a charity of one’s choice.
