
Theodore “Ted” Faticoni, 71, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Dexter) Faticoni, with whom he shared 48 years of love.
Born on January 4, 1954, in Durham, North Carolina, Ted was the son of the late Adolph and Margaret (Frugale) Faticoni. A lifelong learner and gifted educator, he dedicated his professional life to the study and teaching of mathematics as a Professor at Fordham University, as well as being a prolific author and travelled worldwide giving lectures at conferences and universities.
Ted will be remembered most for his love for his family. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by his four children: Lisa Varbero and her husband Anthony of New Fairfield; Christopher Faticoni and his wife Stephanie of Manchester; Mark Faticoni and his wife Melissa of Southington; and Wendy Faticoni of Norwalk. He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: AJ Varbero, Camden Bundy, and Alex and Ava Faticoni. Ted also loved playing the guitar and singing with his family. He gave them the gift of music.
He is also survived by his sister, Lori Annear and her husband John of New Britain, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Faticoni and Marilyn Kopp.
A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 12 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main Street, Southington. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will take place privately with his family.
Ted’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
