Thomas A. Bastiaanse

Thomas was born June 19, 1990 in New Haven, beloved son of Abraham Bastiaanse of Southington and Lynn Kilstrom of Branford.

Tom was home from Franklin Pierce University where he had just finished his sophomore year pursuing a degree in Information Technology. He graduated from Southington High School Class of 2008. Tom loved the electronic media, movie going and golfing. His recent venture included writing and editing video skits. He was looking forward to the fall semester studying abroad. Tom?s smile, voice, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He was loved so much by his family. We will forever miss you Tom.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted grandmother Patricia Sygiel, stepmother Patti Strout, his sisters Amy DiNoia, Anne DeAngelis, Susan Gawitt, Kathleen and Sarah Bastiaanse, brothers Matthew and Michael Bastiaanse, stepbrothers Daniel, Brian, and Joseph Strout and many nieces and nephews and a very large extended family.

The funeral will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage Street for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.
