It was very sad to hear of Una's death from my father. For days now I have been remembering all the stories I have been told of Una and all the Cooke family. My thoughts and deepest sympathy are with each and every one of you.

To Mom - You have always been a generous person, and never to a fault. All those to whom you have ever shown generosity have acknowledged it and love you for it, and that includes me. That includes Una, too. The only thing that has ever brought you down has been guilt, and I hope with all my heart that you never feel guilt regarding Una. You did everything, you were everything, that she could have needed, and she knew (and knows) that just as well as I do. I love you; know that beyond all else.

To Una: In the Harry Potter books which you came to love so quickly and so much, Albus Dumbledore - the headmaster of Hogwarts, remember - proclaims that the master of death is not one who never dies, but rather the person who accepts death for what it is: a part of life, something to be greeted rather than struggled against. Your life was not always the easiest, but you lived it well all the same. We did not always get along... But you know I will always love you. Thank you so much for being exactly who you were.

Una, you were one amazing lady. We had some great times at 821 and some were the best times of my life. You will always hold a special place in my heart...Love and miss you...Judi xoxo

Deepest sympathy from your Aunt Marian. Your Mother was a lovely person I can remember all the nice things she did for me.  She was my brides maid and I was hers.She made my wedding dress and it was beautiful. She was so talented and she didn't even know it. Her passing away has brought back so many memories. Its sad to think she is gone. Even though we lived miles apart I never forgot her and I never will.

Just a note to let you know that we are all very saddened to hear of Una passing away.  We know, just by reading some of the tributes, that you were there for her in every way and that now that you have each other for strength at this time.

Our thoughts are with you this week and we know it isn't easy.

Tina, I used to babysit you when you lived in San Rafael andwere very small so you won't remember me but I have memories and photographs. When I put them together I'll get them to you via Uncle Eamon.

Probably the greatest times I had, re, Una, was when she was not! there. When she and her fiance, Romano, would have a tiff, Romano would take me, out. I was about 10/11 yrs old. Romano would take me out to Bray, Co Dublin to his friends at Fuischardi's Fish & Chip shop. Long ray and chips, followed by lashings of ice cream,then cap the night playing snooker, 'til early morn. I really looked forward to their spats!           Words fail me when I think of Una being dead. So I'll steal a quote by William Saroyan;   "Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell, and when you get angry, get good and angry, and when you get sad, cry like a river. That way, you have lived your life to it's fullest!"                         Una, you have lived the good life, love, Eamon.
