Vicente Lopez Colon

Born in Toa Baja, PR on April 13, 1923, the son of the late Liborio Lopez Aviles and Clara Colon Ventura.

He served in WWII as an Army PVT in Puerto Rico. He worked for Westinghouse Eaton Cutler Hammer as a Foreman and in New York he was a Superintendent in Rego Park, Queens.

In 1992, he returned to his roots Toa Baja, PR. He enjoyed being a loan shark well into his 90s, singing, spending time at the beach and playing billiards. If you think of the movie The Hustler and that was him. He was a member of Club Toabajeno in Bronx, NY

Vicente is survived by his daughter Clara Martinez originally New York, currently residing in Kissimmee, FL, daughter-in-law Lucy Lopez, Brooklyn, NY, four Grandchildren: Katherine Lopez-McGee and her husband Sly McGee of Southington, CT, Vincent Lopez III of Manhattan, NYC, Angela Martinez of New York and Elizabeth Tuccio, both currently residing in FL, four great grandchildren: Jose Martinez, Nicholas Hornberger, Davian and Jaylinn Lopez and he was blessed enough to have met his two Great Great grandchildren Alessandra Jae and Valentina Rose Martinez. He was predeceased by a his sister Enriqueta Colon, brother Luis Lopez, daughter Angela Lopez and a son Vincent Lopez.

Cremains service will be held on April 12th, 2019 at the Puerto Rico National Cemetery Avenue Cementerio Nacional #50. Bayamon, PR 00961
