Vita Paradis

Vita was born on March 22, 1947 in Picerno (Potenza) Italy, daughter of the late Nicola and Maria Faraone.

Vita came to the United States in May 1961. She married the love of her life Victor Paradis and they had two loving children, daughter Antoinette Oakes and her husband Ronald and son Victor Paradis Jr. and his wife Tabetha.

Vita had five beautiful grandchildren who she adored: Bethany Paradis, Nicholas Paradis, Zachary Oakes, Dominic Oakes and Daniella Paradis. Vita lived for her grandchildren.

Vita leaves behind her six siblings: brother Carmine Faraone and wife Sharon, sister Antoinetta Potenza, brother Donald Faraone and wife Rosa, sister Rocky Aldi and husband Albert J. Aldi Jr. brother Joseph Faraone and wife Dee, sister Rosalie Levanduski and husband Michael. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, godchildren and loving friends.

Vita had a heart of gold and never stopped caring for others despite her chronic liver disease. She worked as a certified nurse?s aide and cared for others. She was an avid gardener, great cook and loved to knit and crochet. She was an active member of St. Mary?s Church, a member of the Ladies Guild and a Minister of the Eucharist.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurse?s, nursing technicians and respiratory theapists of Hospital of Central CT NS and CCU, Sarah and Sarah of Hartford Hospital BLISS11 I.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27th at 9 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Mary?s Church in New Britain at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Mary?s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, Nov. 26th from 5-8 pm.
