

Born on November 18, 1930 in Meriden, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Galcenski) Lockert. He graduated from Lyman High School and earned an Associates degree at Post College. He was a tool and die maker with New Departure-Hyatt in Bristol for most of his life.
Bill was an avid fly fisherman and a member of the Farmington River Anglers Association, the Housatonic Fly Fishing Association and Trout Unlimited. He also enjoyed skiing. He and Stella were longtime members of the Naugatuck Valley Ski Club. For over 25 years he was involved with the National Ski Patrol and was a certified senior ski patrolman at both Mt. Southington and Mohawk Mountain Ski Areas. He was also a competitive roller skate dancer, skating into his early eighties.
Most of all, Bill loved and will be deeply missed by his family. Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters Jane (David) Logozzo of Arlington, MA, June Lockert (Amy Pear) of Haddam, CT, Joyce Lockert (Sharon Lamb) of Billerica, MA, Grandchildren William Logozzo (Paulina) of Salina, MI, Susan E. Logozzo of Washington DC, great grandchildren Sophia, Claire and Benjamin Logozzo, sisters Joan Perruccio (Joseph) of Naples,FL, Rose Poirier of Canaan, NH and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Pius X Church in Wolcott. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
