
Southington - William E. Rosi, 67, of Plantsville section, and Lecanto, FL passed away from lung cancer on Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Hospital of Central CT. New Britain General Campus. William was the husband of Susan Reinhard Rosi.
Born in Meriden on May 31, 1939, the son of the late Louis and Viola (Giannini) Rosi. He spent his childhood in Meriden where he attended local schools. He owned and operated his own business selling and calibrating industrial instruments. He was a 40 year member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Polish Falcons and the Eagles of Florida. He loved raising hot peppers to give to his friends, and enjoyed assembling plastic and metal models since his youth.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by a sister Louise Leonard of Meriden, two brothers, Joseph Rosi and his wife Janet of Vernon, Lawrence Rosi and his wife Korline of Spring Hill, FL. He leaves a
brother-in-law Earle Reinhard and his wife Patricia of Lecanto, FL several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff members at the Hospital of Central CT. New Britain General Campus, especially the Critical Care Unit who compassionately tended to all his needs and extended kindness and consideration toward his family at such a stressful time.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St., Plantsville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
