Anna Jantje Leppard

July 22, 1945 – February 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna Leppard, of St. Catharines, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at the age of 80. She is predeceased by her parents Cornelis and Grietje Bruinsma.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband Robert Leppard, who predeceased her on December 13, 2024, and with her dear best friend, Norma, whose friendship brought her so much joy.

Anna was a devoted and loving mother to her three daughters, Lori (Gord), Kim (predeceased by Sandy), and Lindy (Tim) and a proud and cherished grandmother to Kyle, Jessica (Pierce), Greg (Paige), David, and Katelyn and great-grandmother to Aaron. Her family was the centre of her world, and her quiet strength, steady presence will be deeply missed.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters Janny (Joe) Verkuyl, Bill (Jackie) Bruinsma, Homer Bruinsma, Shirley Banks, and Larry Bruinsma. She is predeceased by Teresa (Harry) De Jong, Gordon (Winnie) Bruinsma, Joan Bruinsma, Peter (Terry) Bruinsma, Gary Banks and Diane Bruinsma.

Anna had a deep love for her garden, finding peace and joy tending to her flowers and plants. She loved reading and doing puzzles with her family members. She adored her pets throughout her life and will be especially missed by her loyal dog, Dudley, who was never far from her side.

Anna will be remembered for her kindness, and the quiet way she cared for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the love she gave, and the many memories held close by those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that an act of kindness be done in Anna’s honour. Love you forever and always xo.
