Anna McCullough

Daughter of Peter and Kitty Hillick of Belfast, N.Ireland. Born January 30, 1930, Belfast, N.Ireland Wife of Cornelius McCullough, passed away in her sleep at the age of 80, Sunday night, October 17, 2010 (after suffering with COPD for many years). Mother of Jerry, Katrina . grandmother of Christopher, Taylor , Michael and Caitlin and great-grandmother of Aiden . Our Mom was from a family of 16 children in Belfast (most have predeceased Mom) sister of Brian and Kathleen of Belfast and Maura of New York (many, many relatives in Belfast, Dublin, New York, Liverpool, Vancouver, Toronto). Our Mom loved Canada for giving us all a chance at a better life, loved Toronto, loved CFRB, the Toronto Star, Mel Lastman, Trudeau and all underdogs. Our Mom would (and did) give the shirt off her back to the less fortunate. Our Mom was small in size but a Giant in life, always believing that anything and everything were possible with the help of GOD. Always proud of her IRISH heritage she was also very proud to be a Canadian. Our Mother prayed daily to God for help and guidance. Resting at Hulse and English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346), visitation on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred’s Church, 272 Vine Street at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m.
