STRICHARUK, Christena “Tena”- On Januray 3rd, after a long and courageous battle, heaven called back an angel. Tena passed away peacefully at Chateau Gardens surrounded by her family and friends. Tena will be sadly missed and never forgotten by her loving husband of 59 years Leonard, and her children Jack (Lydia) of Calgary, AB, Ronald (Judy) of St. David’s, and Evelyn (Mark) Belchior of St. Catharines. Tena will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren Leonard, Danielle, Timothy, and Alexander. Tena joins in heaven her beloved children Daniel and Jeanette, as well as, her brother Roddie, mother Jeanette, and Timofey and Natalia Stricharuk. Over the years Tena enjoyed her membership at the St. David’s Lioness. She also enjoyed contributing with her special talent of baking for everyone and anyone. This was a contribution that gave her great fulfillment and joy. Tena always said “There’s always room for one more at my table” and often resulted in several. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Chateau Gardens for their wonderful care, and a special thank you to Colleen Lawrence, Moma loves you. Tena’s family will accept visitors at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street on Thursday January 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Hulse and English Chapel on Friday at 11:00 am with a committal service following at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in Tena’s name to The Alzheimer Society, The Salvation Army, or Tender Wishes, and would be appreciated by the family.
