Born September 18, 1923, passed in her home at Henley House, St Catharines; Monday June 27, 2016. She was in her 93rd year on this earth.
She was the daughter of Elizabeth Margaret Reilly and James Park Reilly and was born in Welland Ontario. She is survived by her siblings; Park McKnight Reilly and Mary Simpson. She will be a new angel today having tea with her grandparents, mother and father and brothers as well as Doug Simpson and many friends that we are sure will be happy to greet her. She was the proud mother of Gary Walker of Victoria B.C, Timothy Walker of Port Colborne, Susan Walker-Ing of Aurora, Todd Walker of Barrie, Mary Ann Houghting and son-in-law Brian Houghting of St Catharines. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, grandmother and step-grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always quick to smile and share all the love she had. She was all about family and enjoying all our milestones. All that knew her will know that she was remarkable at getting through hard times and somehow finding the rainbow after the storm. She had a bluntness about her that was always quirky, and usually quite hilarious. All the family at Henley House loved her and are already missing her quick wit tremendously, we thank you for the care you gave our mother. Her smile could light up the room. In lieu of flowers donations made to Serenity Place St. Catharines, Holy Trinity Church, Welland or the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on

Remember Me
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow,
but remember me in every tomorrow.
Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
Although my leaving causes pain and grief,
my going has eased my hurt,
and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me,
not as I am now, but as I used to be.
Because, I will remember you all,
and look on with a smile.
Understand in your hearts,
I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
- Joey Beighley -
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousands winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry:
I am not there.
I did not die.
