Doreen Nancy Richardson Kozak

November 26th, 1938 – August 13th, 2015

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 13th, 2015 at Juravinski Hospital. Doreen, forever missed by her best friend and companion Max Beattie. Predeceased by her husbands; Douglas Hool (1991) and John Kozak (2010). Doreen is survived by her stepchildren Andrew (Deanna) Kozak, Angela (Jeff) Vogan and Chris Kozak; and by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her brother Denny, her sisters June, Janet(Billy), Betty-Lou and Gloria, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Donald and Terry. Doreen worked for Prudential Insurance Company of America for many years, retiring in 1984. She was an active volunteer, particularly with Osteoporosis and F.A.C.S. where she served for 40 years. She was a selfless, beautiful lady, with an understanding and kind soul, “You will be missed by many Doreen”.

The family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St., St. Catharines, Ontario (905-684-6346) on Saturday, August 22 from 1 – 3 p.m. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held in the chapel on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, the Juravinski Hospital Foundation, or Osteoporosis Canada – Niagara Chapter(St. Catharines) in Doreen’s memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
