Dorothy May Burger

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, on Friday, December 27, 2013, in her 98th year. Wife of the late Cecil Burger (1977). Loving mother of the late Edward (Loreen), Donald (Bev), and Ronald (Norma). Missed by her grandchildren Earlene (Jack), Sue (Dan), Eddy, Chris (Mike), and Tracy; and by her great-grandchildren Ron, Beth, Kate, Jessica, Taylor, Nigel, Aiden, Liam and Shayla. Sister of the late Bill DeMars, the late Ann Robertson, the late Leona Gough, Jennie Riches and Harry DeMars. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her companion Bernie M. Parkins. Dorothy was employed with Ferranti-Packard for 29 years, retiring in 1975, and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption and the Catholic Women’s League.

Family will receive friends at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines (905-684-6346), on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 3 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption, 169 St. Paul Cres. On Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara – Stabler Centre would be appreciated.
