Dorothy Lee

Dorothy Elaine Lee passed away July 4th 2014 in her 95th year. Dorothy passed peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband and soul mate Edmund (2005) of 63 years.

Cherished mother of Bruce and his wife Holly, daughter Catherine and husband Keith Wilcox of Brockville, daughter Deborah Lee and adored grandmother of Brian Lee. Fondly remembered and loved by Jonathon, Alison, Adalyn and Bennett Angle, Aaron and Kristen Audett, Andrew, Crystal, Dominick and Evrett Angle, and Tricia (Nick) Angle.

Dorothy was born in Toronto where she first met Edmund in high school. She graduated from Business College and worked downtown where she reconnected with Edmund and they married Oct 3 1942. After starting her family they moved to St. Catharines in 1966 when they bought St. Catharines Business Machines where Dorothy enjoyed working with the wonderful staff over the years.

Dorothy loved family gatherings and dinners, boating, theatre, and vacationing with Ed. At first, cottaging in northern Ontario, then travelling the world. Simple road trips with friends were also a favourite. Dorothy loved shopping and enjoyed playing bridge. She was especially fond of the trips to help Catherine with her clothing store in Brockville.

While at Anchor Point she enjoyed the Red Hat outings and the wonderful friends she met there over the years. A gracious Lady, Dorothy will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will forever be in our hearts. Words cannot express the bond she had with her Daughter-in-law Holly and the gratitude we all feel. Thank You to all the compassionate Angels at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital.
