

Kilpatrick, Elizabeth (Beth) It is with profound sadness that we announce Beth’s passing on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 at Extendicare, St. Catharines in her 102nd year. Predeceased by her one true love, Jackie (1956) and six brothers and sisters in Scotland. Beth will be greatly missed by her two girls, Joan (Ian) Bruce and Joyce (Robert) Wheelock. She was loved dearly by her four grandchildren, Colin (Laura) Bruce, Gary (Karen) Bruce, Susan Byberg and Jonathan Milligan and four great-grandchildren Cali, Emma and Aidan Bruce and Taylor Byberg. Fondly remembered by her step-grandson, Allan Wheelock. Beth emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1977 to be with her family and embraced her new life.
She made many good friends over the years and was an active member of Dunlop Drive Senior Centre, Lancaster and Port Dalhousie Bowling Clubs, North End Seniors, The Scottish Club and Carleton United church and was well known for writing and reciting poetry. She also enjoyed her time at Linhaven’s Day Program where she went three days a week for a number of years. She spent the last year of her life at Extendicare where she was loved and cared for by the wonderful staff, in particular, her special Catherine.
A service honouring Beth’s life will take place at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:00 pn. In lieu of flowers, donations to Extendicare Residents’ Program, St. Catharines would be appreciated by the family.
