Remembering my Aving life's issues with the Lord together, discussed activism, politics and family import. for myself, and the family, mom (her sister Joy), father (her husband Richard) David, Carol, my daughter Elizabeth grandchildren Riley Mae & Jordan Stephen, we miss you and love you.

I had Mrs. Holden as a teacher in both Grades 5 and 7 at Bessborough Drive Public School. She taught us all to sing as a class and with her guidance we won the Kiwanis Music Award First Prize for school choirs. She was a wonderful and kind teacher and I never forgot her.

My Aunt Betty & I had many good talks, we were very similar in outlook, and faith. I miss our weekly chats and her love.

Miss Nurse/Mrs.Holden was my Grade 3 teacher at Bessborough School so many years ago.  I still remember those happy days although so many years have passed.

Betty Nurse/Holden was my grade three teacher at Bessborough Drive PS.  She married that year and invited her class to watch her come out of her home after her wedding. I remember I was the first pupil allowed to write in notebooks after she taught us cursive writing and everyone said I was the teacher's pet. My father, John Willis, had taught her at either Winchester PS or Riverdale Collegiate. And she was indeed one of his favourite students - I knew from the start I was lucky to have her as my teacher. I became a teacher also and my first class was a grade 3/4 so I thought of her often after I left her. A special person, she will always be remembered for her gentle love and kindnesses. She touched so many lives. My condolences to her family.

Betty was a dear and loving friend of my parents, Jim and Mildred Wylie.  My father taught Betty at Riverdale Collegiate and she remained a life-long friend ever since.  As a child I remember many a Sunday dinner spent at the Nurses or at the Holden's. I also remember a very special few days when I was 18  and we stayed with them at their Florida home.  No  family celebration of ours would have been complete without dear Betty.  It has been several years now since I have seen her, but she always kept In touch at Christmas with a card and often a newsy letter.  I will always remember Betty and the very special place she held in our family.

Miss Nurse/Mrs Holden was my teacher in Bessborough P.S. in Leaside. She was a wonderful teacher whom I adored, and never forgot. I think I was in about grade 4 when she got married, which to my young self was an extremely exciting event. I wish I were well enough to attend her service, but alas, old age has caught up with me. Sincere condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.

Mrs. Holden is our Beloved Nana, she is the grandmother we grew up with, as our Chinese grandmothers could not come to Canada. Nana was there before I, my sister and my brother were born, and she knew my grandfather and my father's family (The Wongs). She had taught English to my father, the late Dart M. Wong,  and he had stayed with her and her husband to learn about Canadian ways. She was always so thoughtful, kind, and gentle with everyone, and appreciative of your time and efforts. She loved her family and friends and her dogs. She enjoyed ice cream and loved flowers and had a good sense of humour. Despite all the challenges she faced in life, she never complained, but she had her Christian faith which gave her strength and which we admire. We will never forget you Nana. Betty is my dear Great Aunt.  She has been a blessing in, not only my life and my children's lives, but she has touched many.  So blessed to have had her as my aunt, I will miss her tremendously!
