Isobel Magee

Magee, Isobel H. (nee Moore): Peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2011. Mom joined Dad (Ross) her husband of 53 years after a short illness with cancer. She was in her 83rd year. Loving mother of Mary & her husband Ken Ruthven (Humboldt Sask.) & Helen & her husband Craig Kozun-Young (St. Catharines); beloved grandma to 3 grandaughters: Leslie McLeod (Robert), Jessica Ruthven (Rob Buzanko) & Mackenzie Kozun-Young; beloved great grandmother of Conner & Robyn McLeod; also survived by her sisters Kathleen (the late Jim) Montieth of St. Catharines & Margaret (the late Bob) Tremblay of Midland & brother-in-law Bill (Bernice) Magee of Midland. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, other family members & friends. Isobel was a long time employee of Bell Canada for over 35 years & an active member of the Bell Pioneers. Isobel served as the first female elder & was role clerk at St. Giles Presbyterian Church & an active member of the Ladies Aid. Friends will be received at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) on Thursday, January 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines on Friday, January 7th at one o’clock. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Isobel may be made to St. Giles Presbyterian Church, the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
