

After 84 years, lived to the fullest, we sadly say goodbye to our mother, Lillian V. Thompson. Peacefully, at St. Catharines General Hospital. Lillian passed away after a long and happy life with her husband Bruce (1994) and their family. She is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Wilson (Michael), and Patricia Lloyd (Robert). Grandma "T" will be missed by her much loved, 5 grandchildren, Kelly Bollman (Bill), Lisa DeSalaiz (Paul), Suzanne Wilson (Paul Onn), Jillian Lloyd, and Robert Lloyd Jr. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Spencer and Madison Bollman, Aidan and Maeve DeSalaiz, and 2 step-grandchildren, Tyler and Cody Bollman, and 1 step-great-grandchild Kellen Bollman. Lillian is also survived by loving sisters, Elizabeth Brady and Vera Moberg. Lillian was born into a large and expanding family on March 31, 1927 to Heber (1950) and Lillian (Matheson) Hicks (1981). She is predeceased by siblings, Jennie May Hunt (1984), William Hicks (1955), Lena Sparks-Hurman (1993), infant Preston Hicks (1919), Margaretta Hicks (2005), Clearily Hicks (1996), Dorance Hicks (2009), Edward Hicks (1996), Leonard (Buddy) Hicks (2000), Alfred Hicks (1997), and Sterling Hicks (1962). Lillian always enjoyed the visits from her many friends, family, numerous nieces & nephews, and never forgotten by God-son, Allan Shields, Grayson Onn and Andrew St. Peter. Lillian was a long time active member of the Order of Eastern Star, Garden City Chapter #53, serving as Deputy District Grand Matron, District #7, during 1997-98. She was also Past Matron of the Niagara Chapter, #23 in 2004. Lillian actively participated in activities of The Lady Shriners, Niagara Falls Chapter. Lillian was a previous employee of the Greater Niagara General Hospital, and the St. Catharines General Hospital.Many thanks go to Dr. Wong and the staff of Secord Wing at Linhaven Long Term Care, who formed a caring and compassionate relationship with Lillian. he family will receive visitors at HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPLE, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines, on Saturday, January, 21st 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m. (Eastern Star service 2 p.m. Saturday). Funeral service on Sunday, January 22nd, 2:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Citadel, 400 Niagara Street., St. Catharines. Lillian will be interred, with her much loved and sorely missed husband, Bruce, at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Donations of sympathy may be made to The Salvation Army Citadel, or the charity of your choice.
