It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Burke Carroll announces her passing on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the age of 84. Predeceased by her parents Colin and Beatrice (nee Stewart) Campbell, her husband Richard, and her granddaughter Mandie. Loving mother of Mia Laforge (Mark) and Rob Carroll (Lesley). Grandmother to Tyler Laforge (Katie), Isabella McKenzie-Carroll and Billy Carroll. Sister to Bob Campbell (Carole). Aunt to Geoff Campbell and Rob Campbell.
Mary was a dedicated elementary school teacher for 35 years. She was always fond of running into former students, of which there were many. Mary enjoyed playing the penny slots and was a big Blue Jays fan. She was always proud that she was able to be at the first World Series game played outside of the United States in 1992. Her one-eye smile will be missed by her family and many friends.
Friends will be received at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL; 75 Church St., St. Catharines (905-684-6346) on Monday, July 20, 2020 between 1-4PM and 6-9PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance is limited to 7 visitors at a time. With this in consideration, please keep your visit between 10 – 15 minutes to allow other visitors time with the family. Please remain in your vehicle until a funeral home staff member escorts you into the building. Sanitization of the funeral home will be ongoing.
A private funeral service will be held in the Hulse & English Chapel on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 with interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow.
