Michael Scripa

SCRIPA, Michael – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 after a brief illness in his 90th year. Devoted husband of 57 years to Antonia. Dear father of Nick (Grace), Maria (Joe), Katharina (Stan). Dearly loved Grandfather of Erika, Jacob, Laura, Darin, and Ashlyn. Also survived by his brothers George and Victor of the Ukraine. Born in Novi Broskivtsi, Ukraine, Michael was a long time devoted member of St.George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in St. Catharines where he will be sadly missed. An employee of Ontario Paper Mill until his retirement in 1988.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905-684-6346) from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with Panachyda at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George, 8 Augusta Ave. St. Catharines at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold.
