"There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts."
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia (Lee) Hundertmark in her 78th year at Hospice Niagara on Friday, March 15th, 2013. Pat has been the loving wife of Richard for 57 years and the beloved mother of four wonderful sons: Michael (Nina), David (Michele), Jeff (Kimberly) and Greg (Kelly). She's left behind a legacy of eleven grandchildren: Caitlin, Emily, Elaine, Rob, Dan, Matt, Sarah, Grayson, Austin, Meghan and Grace. Pat will be greatly missed by brothers Bill (Bonnie) and Rob in Australia and their adoring families. As well Pat leaves behind a legion of friends whose lives she touched in many ways and will be remembered by all for her caring and free spirit, her sense of humor and her passion for life. Pat was recognized in the community of Niagara as a pioneer in palliative care and one of the founders of Hospice Niagara. She will be remembered for her giving spirit, her tenacity and her tireless efforts to ensure that those facing end of life were able to do so with dignity and compassion.
Visitation will take place at Hulse and English Funeral Home, 75 Church St St Catharines, ON L2R 3C7 on Sunday, March 17th 7:00-9:00 pm. A celebration of Pat's life will take place at St. George's Church, 83 Church Street, St. Catharines, ON on Monday, March 18th, 2013 at 10:00 am. Your sensitivity and heartfelt love for Pat and your gratitude for her work to bring Hospice to life is cherished and will forever be a testament to Pat's legacy. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Hospice Niagara.
