It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved Pat on Friday, May 20, 2011 after a short but courageous battle with the return of her 2008 breast cancer. She was born in Caistor Centre, outside of Dunnville, Ontario, on March 31, 1932 and grew up in Port Dalhousie attending St. Andrew’s United Church. Her Parents were Carson and Violet Crumb.
Pat was the beloved wife of Wallace for 53 years and they made their wonderful life in South St. Catharines on Village Road where they raised their three, now married, children, Ward (Diane), Wade (Wanda) and Penny (George Staznik). She has seven grandchildren who she dearly loved and who loved her dearly, Kiera, Kaelen and Kieley, Ward and Diane’s children; Pierce and Paige, Wade and Wanda’s children; and Goran and Neven Staznik, Penny and George’s children.
Survived by her brother Robert Crumb and his wife Diana and their family Wendy and Andrew McInally and Stacey Crumb. Also survived by her sister Nellie and her husband Robert and their family.
Pat was the kindest, most loving and generous woman. She was our angel on earth with a pure heart. She was the ultimate wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend making a beautiful home and life for all those who she touched. She adored spending time with her family and friends above all else. She also enjoyed her Bridge friends, Line Dancing group, her Coffee and Curves friends, and the South End Supper Club friends. Pat was an active member of Mountainview United Church in her earlier years where she was highly involved in the UCW and made many lasting friendships. Pat will be deeply missed and loved forever. She is now our angel in heaven watching over us all.
Visitation will be held at Hulse & English Funeral Home (905-684-6346) on Tuesday, May 24th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm.
