It's with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Matriarch, Pearl Elaine Clarke (nee Sheppard). Born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia, Pearl is predeceased by her parents, Wilbert and Gertrude, her brother, Fred, her daughter Carole and husband Ernest, she is survived by her daughter, Hazel (late Lawrence), grandsons, Duane and Derek (Kim), granddaughter Bianca (Michael), great grandkids Jasmine (Shane), Tyler, Hayden, Ashley and Savannah and great-great grandkids, Devyn and Carter. As well as her beloved cousins Lois (Wendell) and Edith.
At 101 years young, Pearl lived a storied life filled with dinner parties, world travel, cherished friendships and family traditions. Known for her second to none hospitality and culinary skills, Pearl also had a forte for interior design.
Each of us are extraordinarily grateful for the countless memories made and lessons learned. She will be very missed.
Family and friends will be received at Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel, 75 Church Street, St. Catharines on Friday May 1, 2026 from 12:00pm-1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Pearl's Life in the chapel at 1:00pm.
