Passed away, peacefully, on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Linhaven Home; in his 93rd year. Beloved husband for 54 years to Mary (nee Hill). Dear father of Robert Claire (the late Sandra – 2022), Rhonda and her husband Stuart FitzGerald, and the late Rodney James (2022) and his wife Diane. Dear Grandfather of Kristin, Erin, Sean, Corey, Meaghan, Ryan, and Brendon; as well as several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by five siblings and survived by one sister Suzanne Gray. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bud was employed with General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1986. Bud went on to become a golf club maker for over 50 years turning a hobby into a second career with his own brand of golf clubs, Clayton Golf.
A sincere thank you to Gerry and Alma for their care and weekly coffee trips provided for Bud.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and was entrusted to Hulse & English Funeral Home & Chapel (905-684-6346). There will be no formal services. If desired, memorial donations made to The Alzheimer Society or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
