
Oliver, Thomas Craig, died suddenly at his home on Friday October 25, 2013. He was born in St. Catharines, in 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Thomas Oliver and Marjorie Alice (Hoople) Oliver of St. Catharines. He will be greatly missed by his older brothers’ William Oliver of Baltimore, Maryland, Richard Oliver of Nashville, Tennessee, his younger sisters’ Susan Gatley (Oliver) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Shelley Leonhardt (Oliver) of Easton, Pennsylvania. He will also be missed by nieces’ Jennifer Oliver Martin of Baltimore, Kim Oliver Brothers of Nashville, Carrie Oliver of London, UK, Taylor and Sarah Leonhardt, both of Easton.
A graduate of Sheridan College in Oakville and Guelph University, he held an Honors Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and devoted his life to his art in all its many expressions, particularly his early works in silkscreen printing and lithography. He was a founding member of Niagara Artists Centre.
As his niece wrote of him, “I found his bravery in staying true to what he wanted to achieve an inspiration. I will miss him.” The family invites memories to be shared in the guest book of Hulse and English (www.hulseandenglish.com)
