Tryntje "Terry" Kersten

The Lord called home our loved Mom and Oma on Monday, June 6, 2011 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Arend Pieter (Piet) in 1978, three grandsons, Richard Kersten, Gregory Lowe, Ryan Kersten, and five siblings. She leaves behind her children, Arend and Dianne, Jane and Bob Lowe, Dirk and Corinne, Cees and Bonnie, Marg, and Mim and Herb Sinke. Oma will be dearly missed by Shelley and Cal Bosveld, Lori-Anne and Scott Hill, Tricia and Harmen DeVries, Gavin and Layna Lowe, Peter and Renee Lowe, Derek and Angela Kersten, Mike and Engelina Kersten, Julie and Douwe DeGroot, Marnie Kersten, Rev. James and Andrea Sinke, Steve and Jackie Sinke, Mark and Christine Sinke, Darren Sinke, Kristen and Peter Rustenburg, 21 great-grandchildren and three sisters in Holland.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Immanuel Orthodox Reformed Church, 2900 Fourth Ave. Jordan (905-562-8223). A Funeral Service will be held in the church on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery (St. Catharines).
