

Passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by the love of his life, JoAnne and by his family at his home away from home, Shangri-La Family Campground in Lincoln on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Wayne would have been 70 on June 4th, he was the beloved husband of JoAnne for 28 years. Proud and loving father of Leo and Brenda, Tina and Rob, Melissa and Rob, Jason and Amy, John, and Thomas and Kerry. The best grandfather of 28 grandchildren. Cherished great grandfather of 15 great grandchildren. A dear brother and brother in law. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
Affectionately known as “Captain” to many family and friends, Wayne’s sense of humour, hard working character and devotion to his family will never be forgotten. He lit up any room he walked into. Wayne always put his family first, making sure everything was taken care of.
In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate his incredible life will be planned for next year.
