Willem Karel Van Hartingsveldt

Our Lord and Savior, in His infinite wisdom and eternal grace, called Home to Glory, our dear father and grandfather, and great-grandfather, Willem Karel Van Hartingsveldt, on Friday, February 17, 2012 in his 97th year. He lived his life knowing he was not his own, but belonged to his faithful Savior Jesus Christ, who has fully paid for all his sins with His precious blood. Because he belonged to Him, Christ by His Spirit, assured him of eternal life.

Predeceased by his dearly loved wife, Marianna (2004); dear father of Job and Jacqueline, Bill and Mary, Michael and Rita, Peter and Karon; dear grandfather of Michael and Katherine, Robert and Jennifer, Rebecca and Mark Brouwer, Joel, Justin and Susanne, Brooke and Jonathan Hardie, Maria, Jordan, Elliott, Daniel, Kevin and Sarah, Michelle and Jonathan VanderMeulen, Stefan and Lisa, Dylan; dear great-grandfather to Adrienne, Jakob, Brittany, India, Sawyer, Nicholas, Hannah, William, Jakob and Aiden. Survived by his dear 102 year old sister Nel Baars-VanHartingsveld, and dear sister-in-law Toos Been-VanVelden, both in The Netherlands. Predeceased by his brothers and their wives Piet (Mien), Joop (Janny), Adrie (Joke), and sister Janny, also by his sister-in-law and her husband Dien (Han) Molt-VanVelden, brother-in-law and his wife Machiel (Corrie) VanVelden and brother-in-law, Bram Been.

The family will receive friends at the Trinity Orthodox Reformed Church, 99 Scott St., on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the church.
