Rina was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Panzeri; loving mother of David (Mary) Panzeri, Marina Panzeri, and Mark Panzeri; cherished Nonna of Marissa Panzeri, Dominic Panzeri, and Giovanni Panzeri; dear sister of Natalina (the late Salvatore) Belfiore; dear aunt, great-aunt, great-grandaunt, cousin, and friend to many in her lifetime.
Rina journaled about her amazing life. She married Antonio in 1959 in Italy. Antonio left for America for work, and Rina followed shortly after and they established their life on The Hill.
Rina was an exceptional homemaker and an amazing cook. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She told everyone, she had a teacher, a therapist, and a lawyer. Her grandchildren were very dear to her and she loved babysitting for them. Every Sunday, without fail, there was a family meal at her home.
She got her GED, and later earned her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with an emphasis on tax accounting. She volunteered her time helping the elderly do their taxes. She loved math!
She was also an expert seamstress and re-weaver. Tailors would bring their difficult reweaving jobs to her home for repairs.
Rina had great affection for children. She engaged with them very easily. She had a special place in her heart for animals, too. She had a cat, Annabelle, who showed up as a stray and became her best friend and lived for 20 years.
Rina had a great sense of humor and could easily laugh at herself. She was funny without trying. She was generous, kind, loving, and had a very good heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2-6pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa 63109. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 24 at 10am at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church 5140 Wilson 63110. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humane Society of Missouri or the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated by her family.
