Claire A. Terveer Merz

Merz, Claire A. (nee Terveer), 96 of Chesterfield, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Sunday, September 12, 2010. She died at the Rosewood Care Center, 100 Rosewood Village Drive, Swansea, Illinois. Born in St. Libory, Illinois, November 6, 1913, Claire was the second oldest daughter of Libory and Augusta (nee Hoff) Terveer. Besides her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband John A. Merz who passed away July 10, 2007. Three brothers Robert (Mary) Terveer, Roman Terveer, Harry Terveer and three sisters, Evelyn (Joe) Reis, Cornelia (Emil)Dressler, Estelle (Frank Haas) (Cyril Peek) and one niece Rita (Roger) Rulevish and one great nephew, William Dressler.

Surviving are two brothers, Russell (Joyce) Terveer, Irvin (Cecile) Terveer and two sister-in-laws, Lorraine Terveer and Yolanda Paterline, Jr. and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 15642 Clayton Rd. Ellisville, Mo. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Wildwood, Mo. A period of Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until Mass time.
