Donna was born on Easter Sunday and grew up in Shrewsbury with parents Roland and Ina "Billie," and big sister and brother Norma and Dale. Donna graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1962, and worked at the Christian Board of Publication in St. Louis for 38 years. She then sold petite women’s clothing at Dillards until retirement.
Donna married Bob Crump in 2008, and they continued life in St. Louis and Webster. With Bob, she inherited 3 more loving sisters, Leslie, Connie, and Nancy, and their families. Donna was a lifetime member of the Webster Groves Christian Church, and was a faithful servant and leader there.
Donna cherished her many friendships from work, church and the TOPS organization, where she received honors for her perseverance and leadership. As a young adult, she was an avid bowler. She enjoyed entertaining, especially with her open house at Christmastime. She loved keeping up with nieces and nephews and their kids on Norma’s side of the family and sending regular greetings to Dale and wife Kathy and their sons out west. She enjoyed food, shopping, and bingo; and her collection of Snoopys was unequaled.
Donna was a dedicated wife and supported Bob in all his endeavors. They enjoyed walking together, travel, and WGHS basketball. He was a careful and dedicated helper throughout her illness and will miss her greatly. All her family and friends will miss her cheerful and can-do spirit, her humor, and her love.
The attentive care of St. Mary’s Hospital staff was much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Heart Association or TOPS Club Inc.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27 from 9:30-10:30am at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa, 63109, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30am. Interment will be private at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
