

Born on March 21, 1939, in Atlantic City, NJ, and died on April 24, 2025 in Webster Groves, MO.
Frank is survived by an extended family who loved him dearly. This includes his five children, Timothy LeMunyon (Jean), Daniel LeMunyon (Lori), David LeMunyon, Jennifer Lang (Fred), and Amy Gleason (Keith), born to him by his first wife, Paulette Svitak. In addition, Frank was blessed with two stepdaughters, Amy Maier (Erich) and Allison Betscher (Ryan), from his second marriage to his loving wife, Bonnie Henke. Frank was loved by 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was the cherished brother of Bert LeMunyon (Judy) and Joan Hansen (Bob). His stepbrother, Donald Hansen (Cathy), Walter Hansen (Shirley) was also a part of his life. He had many more nieces, nephews, church family, friends, and neighbors who loved and appreciated him.
He was predeceased by his stillborn daughter, Karen LeMunyon, his beloved mother, Mildred Hansen (Bjarne), his sister Mildred Terrell (Pete), his sister, Georgiana Maier (Siegfried), his brother Robert LeMunyon, his infant grandson, Robbie Maier, and his loving wife, Bonnie Henke LeMunyon.
Frank will be remembered not only for his warmth, humor, and always ready smile, but also for his amazing chicken salad, which will be missed at family visits. He loved to share exactly how he put it together. A true believer and faithful man who put the Lord first in his life, Frank was an active part of Bethel Community Church, where he was well-loved for his zeal for God’s Word, occasional preaching, joyful spirit, exuberant singing, and kindness.
Frank was driven by a deep sense of gratitude for both the simple and big things in life, and his joyful optimism was a light to those who knew him. In his younger years, he was a car enthusiast and occasional street racer. Later in life, he drove endless miles for work and for vacation pursuits, ever enjoying the scenery. Loving to be outdoors, his travels would often bring him near an ocean or a lake. He enjoyed skiing and the beauty of the mountains. Most of the time, you could find him mowing and taking immaculate care of his lawn. He was enthusiastic about reading his Bible, watching the Chosen, sitting on his deck, enjoying ice cream, singing hymns, watching the Kansas City Chiefs play, strolling through the St. Louis Botanical Gardens, attending the St. Louis Symphony in years past, and attending the annual Bach Society Candlelight Christmas Concert. Dayspring Bible Camp and the Missouri Association for Creation were also very important to him. A highlight of his life was traveling to the Holy Land with his son, Dan.
He was a 1957 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, NJ. He also attended Emmaus Bible College.
In his professional life, Frank was instrumental in the pioneering days of Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry. He spent his career in the field of chemistry and analytical instrumentation. His outstanding contribution to his field is a testament to his dedication and hard work. He retired at age 75 finishing his career at PJ Cobert in St. Louis, MO
His legacy of a faithful walk with the Lord will continue to inspire his children and all who were blessed to know him.
A viewing will be held for Frank on May 2, 2025, from 4-8pm at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, followed by a funeral service on May 3, 2025, at 10am. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
Donations in honor of Frank to Dayspring Bible Camp would be appreciated. Frank attended Bible camps as a young boy which ultimately led to his faith in Christ.
Frank was a remarkable man, one who leaves behind him a void that cannot be filled. His kindness, humility, and joy will be deeply missed by all those whose lives were touched by him.
