Gertrude McNeill

Trudy was the beloved wife of the late William H. McNeill, Jr.; loving mother of Gail McNeill, Jeffrey McNeill, and the late William Brian McNeill; cherished Nana of Christina (Kole) Chavalia and Meghan McNeill; dear great-grandmother of Kage and Caterina Chavalia; dear aunt of Sharon, Larry, Jerry, Randy, and Kathy; dear great-aunt, and a friend to many in her lifetime.

Trudy was born in De Queen, Arkansas in 1929 to John and Edna Green. She moved to St. Louis when she was 16 and began her career in retail sales that lasted all her working years. She met and married Bill, and together they raised 3 children in Affton.

After retirement, she enjoyed playing pinochle with her lady friends, and shopping. She liked gardening and watching the animals outside her window. She was a proud member for 50 years of United Methodists Church on Watson. She found special joy in her granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, at 10am, at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary Chapel, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. Interment private. Guest may begin gathering at 9:30am. Masks must be worn.

In lieu of flowers, gifts made in Trudy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are greatly appreciated by her family.
