Harriett K. Childers

Harriett was the beloved wife of Clint Childers; treasured mom of Erin Randall; cherished sister of Lavon Warren and Patricia Moore; loving daughter of the late Joseph Bankhead and the late Thelma Warren; dear niece of Pamela Moore; dear daughter-in-law of Rev. John and Candice Capers; sister-in-law of Tommy (Angela) Capers, Shereyll (Darius) Torain, Tamika (Steven) Longmiere, Meladie (Timothy) Adams, Melanie Capers, and the late Ebony Capers; stepmother of 6, step-grandmother of 4, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many in her lifetime.

Harriett was proud of her work as a nurse at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. She loved dancing, music, and reading. She was a bookworm. You could always find her curled up with her Kindle. She and Clint loved to travel to see family, watching old TV shows, and especially spending time with their grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and she enjoyed cooking for family. She cherished her home life.

She was a wonderful, dedicated wife and mother. She helped anyone she could with her time and talents.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6 from 11am-12 noon at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street 63109. A Celebration of Harriett's Life will start at noon. Interment to immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Ferguson.
