Jimmy was the beloved son of the late Louis A and Mary C. (nee' Zwara) Feser; loving brother of Mary J.(John) Pisoni, and the late Carol A. (Steve) Cira; brother-in-law of the late Frank Knoppe, treasured uncle of Lisa (Jeff) Rudolph, Tony Knoppe, Jeff (Karen) Knoppe, Melissa (Mark) Hall, John C. Pisoni, and Kimberly Pisoni; dear great-uncle of Morgan Wuenscher, Taylor, Dylan, and Kayla Rudolph, and David and Joshua Hall. He was a very good friend to so many people it would be impossible to name them all.
Jimmy was born in St. Louis Missouri, the only son of Louis and Mary. He graduated from Bishop duBourg High School in 1971. He attended Rankin Technical School to become a mechanic. He was hired on by the City of St. Louis as a mechanic. Jimmy was there for his entire working life, and was still working for the city at the time of his death.
Jimmy loved trains, model and real. He got the bug from his father, and it continued throughout his life. He was a member of his beloved train club and created many lifelong friendships there. Many Saturday mornings you would find Jim at his friend's train shop, just helping out.
His second love was The Saint Louis Cardinals, and he loved going to the ballpark to soak in the atmosphere. He rarely missed a broadcast, radio or television. Occasionally, he would defect to the Milwaukee Brewers, but only when visiting his friends. He coached girls' softball teams in his youth. He loved old movies, especially John Wayne and World War II. He was crazy about The Beatles and would go see tribute bands whenever he could. And in 1966, he was one of the many thousands of people that crammed into the old Busch Stadium to (not) hear The Beatles with his brother-in-law, Frank.
Jimmy was a devout Catholic, and often followed his priest friends, as they traveled from parish to parish. He was generous with his time, and helpful toward his family, neighbors, and friends. He was the main caregiver for his mother until her passing at 101 last year. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In the words of Jimmy, "God speed."
