Jerome Robert Knapp 88 years old, born August 29, 1932 passed peacefully on October 9, 2020. Jerry is the devoted husband for 58 years to Jean (Pisciotta) Knapp. Loving father to Mara Lorbert and Dr. Paula Knapp-Baker (Dr. Greg Baker) Well loved by his four grandchildren, Kaylin Lorbert, D.D.S., Brandon Lorbert, Jackson Baker and Dylan Baker.
Jerry was born and grew up in St. Louis, graduated from McBride High School. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. After serving his country proudly, he returned to St. Louis and earned his degree in Business Administration from St. Louis University. He later started his own company, Knapp Office Equipment and Printing Company, in Maplewood, Missouri. He was also a long time member of US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He and Jean loved to travel on many adventures over the years. They had many good times at their lake house boating and enjoying time on the water with family and friends. What brought Jerry his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow to become the loving persons that they are today. He always made time to attend their activities and sporting events and was their number one fan.
Jerry is a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, and will be truly missed by many.
