

Kitty has reunited with her parents, Thomas and Emily Toolen, brothers Tommy and Kevin Toolen, sister Jean Marie Linhares, and scores of family and friends who will be thrilled to see her again. Kitty spent 58 mostly blissful years with her husband and soulmate, Joe. She was an outstanding mother to Joe (Denise), Gina (Dan) Hagerty, Pat (Angie), Chris (Amy), Mary (Joe) Pisoni, and Tom (Teri); beloved sister of John (Mary Ann) Toolen, Mary Rose (Dennie) Fischer, Patti (Gene) Kratschmer, Mickie (Ron) Pruitt, Michael Patrick Toolen, Terry Toolen, Steve (Gale) Toolen, Danny (Beth) Toolen; dearest sister-in-law of Jean (Jerry) Knapp, Leo (Linda) Pisciotta, Dawn Pisciotta, and Mary Ann (Leo) Kirchner; much-loved niece of Francis Xavier Toolen and Ginna Brazill; adored grandma of Katie (Hunter) Young, Cullen and Brigid Hagerty, Emily, Alyssa, and Sarah Pisciotta, Theresa (Greg) Ringenberg, Colleen (Ryan) Abendroth, Michael Pisoni, Joey, Paul, and Daniel Pisciotta, Oliver Pisciotta; darling great-grandma of Blake Weekley, Harper and Fiona Young, and Olivia Ringenberg; treasured aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many. Kitty was the indispensable matriarch of a loud, loving, close Irish (and Italian) family, which gathered in her kitchen every Sunday evening for the feast she prepared. Kitty and her recipes were cherished in her lifetime and will continue to be celebrated by those who knew and loved her. Kitty and Joe have been longtime parishioners at St. Gabriel Church.
Funeral from HOFFMEISTER COLONIAL MORTUARY, 6464 Chippewa at Watson on Tues., March 6, 2012 at 10:15 AM to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church for eulogies at 10:45 AM followed by Funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make expressions of sympathy in Kitty’s memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Visitation will be held at Hoffmeister Colonial on Mon. from 3-8 PM.
