Larry Allen Grimes, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 3, 2025. Larry was the beloved husband of Pamela J. (nee Hansbrough) Grimes; loving dad of Brittany (Andrew) Fischer and Tinley (Cody) Carlile; devoted PaPa of Braden Carlile, Madeline Fischer, and Genevieve Mendicelli; dear brother of Lana (Bill) Stull; dear brother-in-law of Debbie (Steve) Garrett and Randy Lange; dear uncle, great-uncle and a friend to many in his lifetime.
Larry lived a full and remarkable life, defined by his quick wit, determination, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was always there when needed, ready to lend a hand, offer guidance, or simply show up with his steady support.
Larry received his degree from Millikin University. A respected and successful businessman in the telecommunications industry for over fifty years, he found great joy in his work and in the many adventures it brought along the way. He would have worked forever if it hadn’t been for COVID—because work was never just work to him; he truly lived it and loved every part of it.
Outside of work, he enjoyed life to the fullest—whether on the golf course, out fishing, bowling with friends, or embracing the challenge of a good game of backgammon. He was a devoted father who spent countless weekends cheering on his daughters at their many activities—always the proud dad behind the camera, recording every moment. His unwavering faith and gentle spirit were a source of strength to his family and friends.
Though he will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and reunited with loved ones who passed before him. His memory will forever live on through the family and friends whose lives he touched so deeply.
A celebration of his life will be held at Westborough Country Club Terrace Room, 631 South Berry Road 63122 on Saturday, November 8th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
