Beloved daughter of the late Lloyd R. and the late Constance T. Knaup. Beloved sister of the late Richard (Sharon) her twin, and her late brothers Francis, Joseph, and Andrew. Peg's cherished memory survives in her siblings Thomas (Cheri) Knaup, Maria (David) Gaebler, Martha Garrison, Angela (Rich) Chenault, Monica (Bob) Nawrocki, and Nora Knaup. Peg adored her nieces and nephews Erica, Kelly, Ian, Joe, Hannah, Dave (Metta), Mary (Frank), Charlie, John (Bre), Tom (Megan), Sam, Drew (Heather), Tony (Nicole), Maddie (Giac), and El, and their children Henry, Frankie, Annie, Sydney, and Adam. Peg leaves behind many friends, colleagues and church members who were touched by her life.
Peg's life is marked by a sense of service felt in her vocation as a hospice nurse and her service to the community through church and neighborhood programs. Peg's heart was often with children, the unhoused, and people facing terminal illness. She maintained a sense of justice and equity. Peg loved sports, the outdoors, and nature. Peg graciously donated her body to science.
Per Peg’s wishes memorial contributions to the charity of your choice are deeply appreciated.
A celebration of Peg's life will be held Friday, February 7, at 10:00 a.m. at Metropolitan Community Church, 7423 Michigan Ave., St. Louis, MO 63111. There will be a reception immediately following the service.
