Mary C. Glaser Schwarze

Mary Constance “Connie” Schwarze, of St. Louis, MO, passed peacefully November 8, 2014, age 94. Beloved wife of the late William C. Schwarze for 63 years. Mother of Dr. Martin W. (Janet) Schwarze, Dr. Robert F. (Donna) Schwarze, Mary Constance “Puddy” Schwarze and Dr. Daniel J. (Laurie) Schwarze; daughter of the late Dr. Martin and Lenore Glaser; loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren (Julie (Jeff), Brian, Billy, Michael, Kate, Emily, Betsy, Marty and Jack); cousin and friend to many.

Connie graduated from St. Elizabeth Academy in 1936 at the age of 16 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Maryville University in 1940. She married Bill, her high school sweetheart, in 1946. She was involved with numerous charitable organizations such as Easter Seals and the American Red Cross. She served on Maryville University’s alumnae board and was President of Chaminade Mothers’ Club. She was a talented artist who loved her family and every animal she met.

Visitation at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa, from 4-8 PM on Thursday November 13. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Friday November 14 at the Old Cathedral in downtown St. Louis.
