I think I can speak for the entire crew at greenbriar when I say both Molly and Megan have more than just joined the Greenbriar community, they’ve nestled their way into the core heart of our GB family.
 Always laughing at the good times, bustling through the challanging ones, and definitely sharing goofy humor whenever or wherever needed. You never truly understand how positive of an impact someone has on your every day life until suddenly their presence is no longer there. Her laugh echoes in my mind when i reminisce on the little memories I’ve been blessed to experience with Molly. We shed tears together when Jack passed away shortly ago, never expecting that either of our lives would end as shortly as his.. Just as the memory of jack brings a smile to my face, she will also forever bring forth a sense of nostalgic joy and silliness.

Molly's departure from our world is a blow to our normalcy and way of living. So many memories of Molly as a lot were on her trips with Megan and Corey to Springfield to visit. We all did goofy stuff and spent time at the lake and the sleepovers in our small house. I will always remember the late night basketball tournaments and shooting around until the wee hours. Surprising them for their birthday and taking them to breakfast! Seldom was she without Megan, so that change breaks my heart, especially for Megan. We love you Megan, Corey, Brendan, Ryan, Erin, Robin and Kevin. We love you Molly and will miss you forever.

I am forever grateful that I got to call Molly one of my close friends. Aside from going to grade school with her we remained pretty close throughout high school, close enough where I forced her to go to the festival of nations with me sophomore year, when we got there it was hot and too gross to walk around so she quickly talked me into going to get ice cream instead. Close enough when we would go to a park and take hikes and when we saw a hill we immediately regretted the decision and decided to leave. There are so many more memories with her that I will forever treasure. I hope this one gives you as much comfort as it gave me the other night I was in an uber coming home
On New Year’s Eve before midnight, and I was not paying attention very much but then i started listening to the song that was playing and The song playing  was “in the arms of an angel” on a hip hop/ pop
Station and I knew that was her. She’ll forever be in my heart.

Dear Molly,
I barely knew ya, but I'll never forget the day we met.  You were only a few weeks old.  Sitting patiently in your pumpkin seat next to your sister-  on the sideline at the SHF gym!  Your dad was coaching Ryan's basketball team and I was in the stands watching my son Corey and his pals  try to put another win together.  As you know, your dad was a passionate and competitive coach, with a flair for earning an early exit from more than a few CYC gyms.  As he jumped up and down, clipboard in hand, your mom could only shake her head as coach Rudy panted like a loyal Labrador, ready to take the helm at a moments notice.  Those games were so much fun for all of us.  I appreciate those memories more and more each day.  So although I never got to know you, we both enjoyed the generosity and friendship of your wonderful family.  We are so lucky to have had them in our lives.  Rest in peace sweet Molly.  

So blessed that I ended up with Molly as my neighbor and one of my best friends. She truly was an incredible person and always such a joy to be around. There was never a moment that we weren’t laughing and smiling. I will miss her terribly. Rest easy sweet girl❤️

I was Molly's second grade teacher.  I always remember Molly as having a smile on her face and a beautiful blonde ponytail.  She was a total girly girl.  She often brought extra accessories in her backpack to add to her outfit throughout the day!  At one point, I remember that she actually had 3 pairs of shoes at school in case she wanted to change her look throughout the day!  :-)  
When I would bring my niece Emma home from school, Molly and Megan were usually waiting at her house to play and eager to see Molly's teacher outside of school!  
Molly, you are a gorgeous girl with a beautiful soul.  Even in second grade you could help lift the spirits of anyone in our class - even me!  You were definitely lost way too soon.  My heart is breaking for your family.  In these difficult times I know that the beautiful memories of you will help to lift them up.  Rest in peace.  You will not be forgotten.  Love, Mrs. Fite

Sending so many love and prayers to your family and friends during this hard time. When I think of Molly so many good times come to mind. The first time I met Molly was when my CYC played hers. I hated playing against her and Meg because they were so good. Then two summers later we played on the same team and later on played for Mehlville’s feeder team.  From there the rest is history. I’ll never forget though in 8th grade when the twins came to my birthday party and we we’re laughing hysterically at a friend singing because we thought we were being serenaded. Along with all the times in homeroom we’d talk and laugh and totally forget about all of the homework we probably should’ve been doing. Don’t even get me started on the times the twins and I worked together. Anytime our names were on the schedule together I knew it’d be a good (hilarious) night. You both made working so much more enjoyable. Just know I will forever hold all of these moments near and dear to my heart for the rest of time. Molly, I’ll never be able to thank you enough for all the support, love, laughs and smiles you have given me in your lifetime. You uplifted everyone and had THE biggest heart. I’m so grateful to have had the best of times with you. Rest Easy Sweet Friend.

Molly has always been the sweetest thing!  Molly always made a point to say "Hi Mrs. Wanko" to me everytime she saw me in the halls of Bierbaum!  A beautiful person inside and out!  Molly will be the brightest star in the heavens!

I met Molly in preschool, from the moment we met, we were practically inseparable. We grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same elementary school, continued our friendship through middle school, and experienced a lot of high school together. With any friendship, there are ups & downs & that was no different for Molly and I. She taught me the meaning of friendship & many other values in life we take for granted. For anyone who knew Molly, her personality caught the hearts of many of her classmates and teammates. From her contagious laugh to her beautiful smile, I’m so grateful I got to grow up with her & will always cherish the memories that she has given me. Your sweet soul will live on in each and everyone one of us. My heart breaks for the McDermotts, sending my love & prayers to them. Rest Easy Angel, I love you forever Molly💗

I’ll never forget all the times we’ve had with setting up little stuff in our front yards and playing house all the time. 
Molly mcdermitt and I go way back to when she was 8-9 years old along when she and her sister and I use to hang out EVERYDAY!!! Her family and mine are both so close.......
Her grandfather mcdermitt and my grandfather Carroll went to grade school together, and I’m very greatful for that. 
Molly was a loving, caring outgoing girly girl! And I will never forget the memories I’ve had with her, and will cherish them forever, till the day I’m up their with her. Molly mcdermitt, was not just a neighbor to me...........

Molly was a close neighbor to me and I used to drive her, Megan and Corey to high school every day my senior year at mehlville. Can’t wrap my head around what has happened. My deepest sympathy and prayers to the McDermott family. Molly could always turn a bad situation into a good one, and although she was pretty quiet (at least in the mornings) Molly was an outgoing girl who always brought a smile to everyone’s face and could brighten anyone’s day with her contagious laugh and lovable personality. She was an amazing person and an even better neighbor. Rest easily Molly. 

Molly was such a funny girl. I remember when we rode the bus together in elementary school and she would always fight and argue with Mr. Mike, our bus driver. She would threaten to tell her mom and dad that he was mean to her and not Megan. I also remember how my cousin, Emma (also one of Molly’s best friends at the time) also rode our bus. Molly and I would fight the entire ride home as to who sits next to Emma and we made it to where we had assigned seats for a little while because we fought so much. We hung out at her house once and she got jealous because her neighbor, Brooke, brought me food but I was hers and Megan’s guest. She was so funny, and I am going to miss running into her and reminiscing on these things. She truly brought the light into so many lives. 

I have attended school with Molly since middle school and got to know her more during high school. I wasn’t her closest friend but also not the furthest. She was always an entertaining individual and always had some funny and interesting moments that I still remember to this day. My prayers reach out to Molly, her family, and closest connections with her in her lifetime. 

Mehlville softball always had a kidnapping tradition and we kidnapped Molly and Megan and molly tried to fight us when we woke her up in the middle of the night and then later on puked in my driveway from the bad ihop we ate. She always made even situation interesting for sure. Also all the sleepovers and endless laughs with Megan, Abbi, Grace and Mackenzie made my summers better. I will miss her so much❤️

I didn’t know Molly very well, but I enjoyed watching her from the sidelines on the softball field and speaking with her parents. Such a beautiful, fun and full of life young lady. I always enjoyed listen to her goofing off with the girls. You could tell by her interactions with everyone that she spread  joy to anyone she came in contact with. Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and  her long list of friends who love her dearly.

Thank you so much for allowing me to meet and coach Molly and Megan in hitting lessons.  Although a short period of time, Molly was so sweet, and I enjoyed her so much.  She was such a ray of sunshine! Please know that the St. Louis softball community is praying for you. 

My heart breaks for every member of the McDermott family. Memories I have of Molly when I was around her years ago, is her singing, laughing , her putting fun braids in her long hair, being goofy and just a happy girl.  I can't even begin to imagine the pain her family is in . They are all in my thoughts and prayers. 

McDermott Family-I was Molly’s 5th grade teacher. She was such a sweet, happy girl. I remember her always having a smile on her face and being so kind and outgoing. She would often be by my side talking  to me about life and always asking questions. She always wanted to do her best.  As a teacher, you never really forget your students and certain ones do stand out more than others over time. Molly was one of those who made a lasting impression on my heart. Once a student comes into your life and leaves their mark we never do forget them. I pray for comfort for her family and friends in only what I can imagine is the worst possible time your lives. I’m so very sorry for your loss.  Rest in Peace Molly-your life was taken way too soon.

I knew Molly since 1st grade and rode the bus all the way through highschool together. Made many memories with her and l. Through senior year we became so close with having class together. Having her in my class made my day amazing. Her laugh was always contagious and she brought joy to everyone. Rest easily Molly💕

Molly was a sweet and happy, awesome, talented young lady. She was smiling every time I saw her! I knew Molly from my daughter Hannah Wilferd thru Mehlville high school and the softball team. I pray that God will help Molly’s family and friends cope thru this hard time. Molly is a new angel with God in heaven! She is watching over all of us. Smile and celebrate her life! Molly would want it that way. Hugs to everyone that knew Molly! She will be truly missed but I am sure never forgotten especially by all her friends from Mehlville high School! I had the pleasure of spending 4 years with the beautiful ray of sunshine known as Molly McDermott! She made everyday a brighter place for anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

I had the pleasure of coaching Molly for one year with the Silverhawks. She was such a ray of sunshine and wanted to get better at everything she did. I have to say she was definitely my favorite on the team. She could always put a smile on your face. Gone to young but she will never be forgotten. Fly high Molly...

McDermott family I am so very sorry to hear of this terrible accident. My heart aches for you all. I remember the girls as babies when I had Ryan in fifth grade. They were nestled into a huge stroller and just perfectly content. My prayers are with you. May you somehow find comfort in the memories and prayers of those around you.
